As the birthplace of Shakespeare, Stratford-Upon-Avon is home to the Royal Shakspeare Company, the "Shakespeare houses" (Shakespeare's Birthplace, Mary Arden's, Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Hall's Croft, Nash's House and New Place, and Harvard House) and Holy Trinity Church, the location of Shakespeare's tomb. Sight-seeing tours and recreation on the river Avon are also available.

Lending its name to the sport invented there, Rugby is around 7 miles from the barn. The Webb Ellis Rugby Football Museum tells the story of the game, and the famous Rugby School has both a museum and tours available.

Duck Pond Barn is also within easy distance of Coventry, which offers Coventry Cathedral and Coventry Transport Museum.
